Enlisted in the regular Army in 1945 (age 15) and served for 25 years in REME concerned with management of personnel, maintenance, development and documentation of Radar systems.
Joined Plessey Radar Ltd., July 1970. Project management of Radar systems for (mainly) military customers.
Retired end 1994. Looked for some way to pay back Brading for all that the Town had done for our family over the years.
Co-opted to manage 1996-97 'Appraisal of Brading' for the Town Council.
Stood for election the Brading Town Council, 1997(?) and 2001. Elected Mayor 2005 – 2006. Responsibilities have included TC Resources, Brading Partnership, TC representative on Island Waste East Wight Forum and TC Representative in the Isle of Wight Association of Parish and Town Councils.
Have lived, together with dear Wife, Molly, at 58 New Road for over 36 years.
