Wih thanks to a grant of £24,400 from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Brading Town Council has been able to create a Town Trail through the historic town of Brading.
The project has involved people from all sectors of the community. Volunteers carried out the research for the boards and collected pictures of Brading throughout the years.
The trail consists of nine boards in various locations throughout Brading and can be started from Brading Station or Brading Town Trust Car Park. When the trail was launched, members of the community all dressed up as the historic characters mentioned in the trail (see photos below).
A Children's leaflet to accompany the trail has been written by local young people. This, along with an adults leaflet can be collected from Brading Station or Brading Post Office.
