Proposed School Closure Consultation
The Isle of Wight Council will be organising formal consultation meetings, should a decision to proceed with a process be taken on Thursday 12th September. As it is not for the Town Council to organise meetings as part of the formal process, Brading Town Council will await the decision of this meeting before proceeding further in gathering opinion and formulating representations.

Upcoming works to close the Island Line and Ryde Pier
From Friday 6 September to Sunday 6 October, the Island Line will be closed in its entirety from Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin, while Network Rail and Island Line engineers complete a large programme of vital maintenance. This will include work to repair and preserve the historic Ryde Pier structure, which began in October 2022.
