Did you know that this building, located on the forecourt of the primary school on West St, is a vibrant centre of activity offering a wide range of services? In addition to the Town Clerk’s office, the reception offers a warm welcome and advice, including help to complete forms, to visitors and residents.
The Centre is open Monday – Thursday 9:00 am to 12:00pm
In case of emergency there is a defibrillator situated on the wall outside of the Centre.
There is also a defibrillator that can be found on the side wall of the Bugle Inn in the High Street.
There is a book-share library which is free to everyone and, at the last count, held more than 3000 books to choose from. All subjects including fiction, non-fiction and reference books can be found on the shelves.
Brading’s Post Office, now based at the Centre, is open on Thursday 9.30 – 11.30. All normal post office services are available including renewing your road tax for your car.
Computers are available for public use and we can offer computer lessons on the basics if required. Use of
computers and the broadband connection to the internet is free to Brading residents once registered with the Centre as an approved user.
We also offer a photocopying service, as well as laminating all at a reasonable cost.
We also have a foodbank which is stocked by generous donations from residents, and the council, along with grant funding obtained by the Town Council.
Rooms are available for meetings, subject to availability, and, if you are a local community group, there is no charge.
