Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 20 October 2023 and Friday 1 December 2023 the following roads will be closed for both day and night for approximately one to 15 days during this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of carriageway maintenance works to be completed.  No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, maintenance, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works.  In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:

The Isle of Wight Council (Hornsey Rise, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2023 – Hornsey Rise will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Morton Manor Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restrictions) Order No 2 2023 – The one-way restriction will be revoked along Morton Manor Road for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (The Mall, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2023 – The Mall will be closed between its junctions with Hornsey Rise and Bullys Hill. The alternative route will be signposted locally.
