Grants for home insulation, solar panels, double glazing and other energy related home improvements are currently available from CityEnergy, in conjunction with the Isle of Wight Council and the Footprint Trust.  Applications can be made until March 2022. The IW Council web address for further information about applications is below. The grant pays for all the work and materials up to the £10,000 limit. There is no requirement for a householder contribution.

There is a maximum income qualification or applicants need to be on income related benefits. If you qualify, then you are likely to be eligible for home improvements of up to £10,000 if your home is EPC rated D, E, F or G. This could include measures such as Solar PV, insulation, a new front door or double glazing.

One resident has applied for, and been accepted, for a grant. They are very happy to forward documents, through the Town Clerk, to anyone who’s interested.
